Iyengar yoga in Batumi

Detailed alignment of asanas and attention to detail. Group and private classes for all levels.

What is Iyengar yoga?

The most methodical style of yoga, based on the detailed alignment of each pose using props (blocks, straps, bolsters). This makes the practice as comfortable and safe as possible for everyone.

Thanks to individually tailored adjustments, the body opens gently, posture improves, and spinal health is restored.

How Iyengar yoga
classes work

All classes are structured from simple to complex, so that you can immerse yourself in the practice step by step and get the most out of it.

  • Preparation and demonstration

We begin with preparation for practice and a gentle joint warm-up. The instructor takes your individual needs into account and explains the class plan.

  • Precise asana alignment

The main part of the class. We perform asanas using blankets, bolsters, and blocks to achieve proper body alignment. Each pose is held longer than in dynamic styles to deeply engage the muscles and ligaments.

  • Recovery and relaxation

We conclude the practice with restorative poses. This allows the nervous system to fully relax and the body to absorb the benefits of the exercises.
